5For the $49 I paid for it, this wheel rocks!
By Sixstring59
I bought this wheel at GameStop and, although the box was marked as $99 it rang up as $49. The clerk checked twice. At any rate, even at $99 this wheel is probably worth the money. For what I paid, it is a great addition to the realism of driving on the PS3.My home system has a 42" LG LCD television connected via HDMI cable and the sound is routed through my Yamaha RX995V stereo home theater receiver and Klipsch speakers all around. Needless to say, this setup provides outstanding realism and ambiance. Now the addition of the wheel makes driving GT5P, F1 Championship Series and Grid that much more immersing.Sure, the Driving Force GT wheel is better in some ways, but it also $100 more and has it's own flaws. I know because I originally bought the Driving Force GT thinking it would be wireless between the unit and the PS3 but not so. My PS3 is on the other side of the room and I don't really want a ton of wires laying around everywhere because my dog would be knocking things over left and right. The other problems aside from the wires with the Driving Force GT wheel are a) you need a table to attach it to and b) even with a table, you will be very uncomfortable sitting on the edge of your average couch to get close enough to the table to actually race. The Driving Force Wireless on the other hand sits very comfortably on your lap while you sit back in your favorite chair. No wires laying across the room, although it does require a wall outlet nearby. The force feedback on this unit is surprisingly good. You will feel every bump and whack along the way. The paddles that sit behind your hands on the wheel work effectively as accelerator and brakes, plus the L1/R1 buttons (used for shifting in GT5P) are right there under your thumbs. It took me maybe two races to get the feel down cold.So hey, if you like to race and you think there is something better out there than the Six Axis Controller you are right, and this is it!

5Works for me at the right price!
By RexB
This is my first driving wheel for games and got this on sale for $50 on a local store. What drew me to it further was the wireless feature. I didn't want wires in my living room so i figured this would work out perfectly and it did (there is still a wire for power though). It is simple and i can easily grab it and play with my PS3. I just wanted simple and that works with GT5 pro, RR7 and other demo driving games (Grid,NFS Prostreet etc.) I'm really happy with it and really didn't mind having the accelerator and break controls on the paddle shifters. I was really surprised how comfortable it is having it resting on my lap and i can seat comfortably and play on my recliners. The force feedback is very good as well, gives you the feeling that you're really driving in the game. Now i really enjoy playing with GT5 with cockpit view or just the head's up display. For the price and convenience i give it 5 stars. I was originally thinking of getting the G25 but that would require me to invest more on racing seats, wheel stand etc..This is a lot better option than the PS3 game pad driving. But for the amount of time i play with my PS3 this wheel is good enough for me.

5A great beginner wheel.
By Silentrich
First off don't try to compare this to a Logitech G25 or G27. This is a lap steering wheel and is a huge upgrade from playing with a standard controller. The stability is good in the lap and the force feedback is great for a steering wheel in this price range. Yes it doesn't have the pedals but to be honest you really don't need them unless you plan on spending money on a stand and a more expensive wheel. Overall for the price you really can't beat it.
