Don't waste your money

I was looking for a DVD remote for my PS3 and thought this would be good because it offered a keyboard as well, BUT, it would help if it actually synced with the Playstation. I only got it to sync with my PS3 on the first day i received it, but I was watching a movie. Because it has an automatic sleep function, it went to sleep, and never worked again. After the first time, it would not sync with my Playstation again.I emailed tried the troubleshooting list that came with it, and still nothing. When I emailed the company I was sent the same troubleshooting steps that came with it.If you are looking for good remote, I suggest you don't waste your time with this one.

Shoddy Craftsmanship

The first thing you will notice from this remote is how cheap it feels. It feels flimsy, hollow and fragile. The slide mechanic works, but has a very unsatisfying travel feel and click. It almost feels like the keypad buttons are getting rubbed and it never feels like it is locked into position.The button seem to require too much pressure and are unresponsive. Just browsing the XMB is a chore. This also makes the remote useless as a "classic game pad". The D-pad has arrow shaped depressions and after 15 minutes of play, my thumb was sore.On the upside, the keyboard works well and is illuminated. The buttons have a nice click when pressed. The buttons are made from rubber and prevent easy sliding from key to key. All the functions work as expected.Changing controller assignments was a little tricky. It didn't quite use the same number assignments as a DualShock controller. I've never used a 3rd party USB controller, so this may be the norm.Pros:Slide out keyboard buttons work well and are illuminatedRechargeable built-in batteryMultiple functionsNice sizeCons:Cheap feelingUnresponsive buttonsUncomfortable to use as a game padCannot power on the PS3To be fair it does work as a DVD/BD remote, game pad and keyboard. Ultimately I returned it and purchased the PlayStation 3 Wireless keypad.

It worked fine the first 20 mins. Then, I would not sync up with my PS3. It does feel a bit on the cheap side but that really didnt matter to me. What did, however, was the fact that it just stopped working on Day 1. It's going back to walmart tonight and I'm getting the actual PS3 qwerty pad adapter for my controller. Lesson learned... learn from other peoples mistakes.
