I bought the KES-400A for my 80gb Playstation 3 (model no. CECHE01) I took it apart and replaced the broken laser with the new one, and it works perfectly now. There are a bunch of video walk-throughs on youtube, make sure to watch these before you fix the system.

This time bought this replacement lens for my son's friend's PS3 (Older model). He's been out for 6 months and was about to throw it in the trash so my son brought it home one day. Order the part and replacement was a breeze thanks to youtube. He's now playing online PSN with my son again.
